I’m Sensei Mandin, the Chief Instructor and Director of Mandin Martial Arts (MMA), Dubai.

Three decades ago, my journey in martial arts began, sparked by a deep interest in karate.

As a young immigrant from india, adapting to life in Dubai during the 1980s, I discovered that my six-hour workdays left me with plenty of spare time. It was during this period, in 1982, that I made a pivotal decision to take karate classes as a beginner. I started my training under the guidance of Sensei Najeem and Sensei Iqbal in Shoryn Ryu Seibukan Karate Do Okinawa and led by Grand Master Zenpo Shimabukuro. This choice would profoundly influence the trajectory of my life.

Years passed by, and before I knew it, in 2008, I successfully passed my black belt test.

By then, my interest in martial arts had evolved into an integral part of my life, becoming a deep-seated passion.

In the subsequent years, I had the privilege of participating in numerous seminars and training sessions in Japan and Germany with Jamal Measara Sensei. These experiences have been invaluable in refining my understanding and honing my skills in martial arts.

Today, I am honored to hold the esteemed rank of 5th DAN and serve as the Deputy Chief Instructor and Examiner at Shorin Ryu Shorinkai Karate Do in Okinawa, Japan. Additionally, I proudly contribute as a member of the Referee and Judging Panel of the UAE Karate Federation, and I am accredited by the W.K.F as a coach. The time I dedicated and experience I gained towards martial arts has led me to participate in international tournaments, representing both the UAE and Okinawa, Japan, in 2015 and 2018.

Since 2009, l’ve been coaching karate students while concurrently training to upgrade my skills and rank. It’s been a privilege to share the art of karate with both children and adults, guiding them on their martial arts journey.

Since 2019, l’ve proudly been a member of Shorin Ryu Shorin Kai Okinawan Karate Do, under the esteemed guidance of Grand Master Keisun Kakinohana, Asian Chief Sensei Sunil Kumar Karnataka, and Shihan Muhamed Faiz, the Country Representative of Shorin Ryu Shorin Kai UAE. Our affiliation lies with Okinawa Shorinryu Shorin Kai under Traditional Martial Arts (TMA) UAE.

Here at MMA, we firmly believe in playing an integral role in shaping the next generation. We instill values of focus, motivation, and discipline that not only empower our students in their martial arts journey but also equip them with the tools to achieve their goals in life.
